KTDA pays annual tea bonuses to 700,000 smallholder farmers

The Kenya Tea Development Agency began paying annual bonuses to more than 700,000 small-scale tea farmers on Monday.
The bonus is paid on top of monthly payments for green leaf delivered during the year, and is the biggest payday of the year for many households in tea-growing counties.
