World Bank raises Kenya’s 2026 growth forecast to 4.6%
The brighter outlook comes against a heavy debt burden.
The World Bank has upgraded its forecast for Kenya’s economic growth this year to 4.6 percent.
The improved outlook comes against a difficult fiscal backdrop, with debt repayments consuming about 80 percent of tax revenue, according to figures reported by Business Daily.
Business conditions are also stabilising. The Stanbic Bank Kenya PMI showed private-sector activity in September falling at its softest rate in seven months, with new orders rising.
